As of today, 29 January, 2010, the My Power Mall is no longer in existence per CEO/Founder Ginny Dye. After eight years of online success in the shopping industry, this company is having to close its doors.
For me, it is tough to see any business go belly up. I know that there are individuals that worked diligently to make this program work and they were successful for many years. I also know that you have to have participation of your members to make an organization like this stay afloat. It is apparent that the members were not doing their part in the shopping category.
We all know that we are in a recession, but why is it that some businesses are even growing while ones like My Power Mall are folding? I do not know anything about their structure, nor do I know anything about their leadership. From the memo I read I can see that there was a team called the M-Team that apparently tried desperately to keep things alive and moving forward. When you have over 77,000 members and only 600 plus are actively using the resources at hand, something has to give. Of course what has happened with My Power Mall could and possibly will happen to other companies if they are not planning ahead.
I know that there is yet another company that has been offering an opportunity to shop online for almost 13 years now and they are growing exponentially at this present time. There is definitely something being done with this company that was apparently lacking in the My Power Mall toward their demise. This of course is just my own personal observation.
There is nothing that can been done to revive My Power Mall, but if you are one of the serious online shoppers that likes to get paid to shop online and even be able to build a business, then you might want to check out this other thriving company and go ahead and team up with them.
Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure it will be the best choice at this time for you and your business options. Everyone needs time to digest what has just happened. My heart felt feelings go out for Ginny Dye and all the sweat and tears she put into the business.
Best Regards,
Eddie
